This Atlas throttle lock is the best accessory I added to my bike, I wish I would have bought it sooner.
A year ago I bought a touring bike with a VERY heavy throttle spring, and no cruise control. Love the bike but the wrist fatigue and pain was about to be a deal breaker if I could not find a solution. I couldn't go 100 miles without pain. Got the Atlas throttle lock recently, a week before a bike trip. Josh was very helpful with install tips. Just got back from my 2000 mile trip, and the Atlas performed perfectly. Locked the throttle down while cruising at highways speeds and gave my wrist all the rest it needed. It allows for speed adjustment while engaged, and is a very easy on-easy off system to engage and disengage, Couldn't be happier!
I ride a Honda Rebel 500 and do a couple of long road trips a year. Anyone who does that much highway riding with only manual throttle control knows the issue. The Atlas Throttle Lock makes all the difference. It’s beautifully engineered and easy to install. Way to go Atlas guys.
Frankly speaking i was a bit skeptical about after market manual cruise controls - i was wrong, atlas just nailed and actually saved me a couple of thousand dollars. I was seriously considering changing my v-strom 650 to a more expensive more cc bike just for the sake of cruise control. Now that idea is off the table. Having this onboard trully helps you to overcome highway fatigue of holding the gas for hours. I highly recommend this to anybody and before you switch the bike try it first. I live in Italy, 650cc bike is a valid solution for travelling and now it's become simply the best. The quality build is good, after a couple of rides u start trust this thing. Though i still consider this thing overpriced, highly overpriced, but it saves you the whole bike.
Done 1500km with it - very satisfied.
Really struggled to get it to work on my 2023 Yamaha MT07. No fault of the Atlas just the way my bike is designed. Ultimately incompatible.
However, it works swimmingly on my brother's 2019 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec!
Installed on my Triumph Speed Twin 1200. Good video instructions for installation and a pleasure to use. Giving your right hand a break every once in a while on long rides is a game changer.
After doing much research, I decided to purchase the Atlas Throttle Lock for my motorcycle (Honda CB900F). It was a great decision. I can now go for much longer rides without my hand cramping.
The old plastic throttle lock on my 1981 CBX fell apart so I was forced to hold the throttle all the time, very tiring.
The ATLAS came and was so simple to install that I questioned how well it would work.
I have found that it works! Easy to engage and disengage, just what I wanted.
The ATLAS throttle lock was the first thing I added to my new motorcycle! This new bike is throttle by wire and is a little more difficult to find the sweet spot, but it's not the fault of the ATLAS.
After having some difficulty getting the Atlas lock to work on my Honda NC750X, a company rep. reached out to me offering replacement parts and it's now working. Major kudos to the company for making it all work out!
Pondering whether you want it or not? You don’t want it, you need it. Trust ATLAS, they’ve struck gold with this. You think it seems expensive? It’s worth 3x the price. I’d buy one every year if they were disposable. But, they’re made of high quality materials; it’ll probably outlive my bike. My first 50,000 miles on two wheels were all natural throttle cramping, but I promise you the next 50k are going to be straight up blissful.
Sincerely, one real rider to another (‘18 Street Triple, ‘97 Zuki GS500)
They upgraded the friction pads so they can slip on and off with ease. Far better than the old way of having to use self adhesive pads.
Installed these on two Kawasaki bikes before starting an 8-hour ride to the Badlands NP. The first took a bit to install (I had to roll back the grip flange to get enough clearance), but once you figure it out it's really a piece of cake. I've done trips without throttle locks before, but I'll never go back now. The Atlas is easy to use, reliable, and stays out of the way of the other controls. Worth every penny.
I purchase for my Moto Guzzi Stelvio. It was very easy to identify the correct equipment, easy instillation and easy to change friction pads to adjust the throttle hold. I found the throttle lock is easy to operate and simple on the go throttle adjustment. I would highly recommend the Atlas Throttle Lock.
Works good i had to file the block little shame they dont do sizes like 2.5 or 3.5 woukd be perfect but works fine
The throttle lock works great. I did have to shave down the side of the throttle on the Bonneville so that it was a uniform flat service. That did not take too much time and now it works great.
It would work better if friction pads were offered in more thickness selections
Came quickly all the way to Iceland, quick and easy to put on the bike
I’ve installed an Atlas throttle lock on my 2022 Suzuki V Strom 650 and am very happy with how it works. It’s very easy to use and installed without much trouble. The company was very responsive to questions I had on installation.
I would recommend this product.
