This thing works great! I finally gave in after seeing numerous people with them and I’m glad I did. Just engage it and give your hand a rest. Do yourself a favor and get one, especially if you do long distance travel.
Although not many long straight roads here in Tasmania, definitely on a long ride I much appreciate giving the throttle hand a break for 10 to 20 seconds, fairly easy to fit the mechanism and works a treat!!
i bought two of them. We rode from Argentina to Alaska, 18500Km. Indispensable and worked perfectly throughout the entire journey.
I got this grip to deal with long distance hand fatigue. It works. It's easy to install. As it turns out I'm not a huge fan of using it. It works 100% as promised and I think it's great value for the price. I'm just using it less then expected. It still requires constant adjustments as the wind buffets you or inclines change. I never realized how many micro corrections I actually make. It has a place on my bike but it's not as beneficial as I had expected. If you go in with clear expectations you will be satisfied with the value.
Love the simplicity of this product. Even after a crash was able to bend the parts back and make operable. God send for right wrist nerve damage
This is a mechanical throttle lock and works as designed. I should had bought the bottom kit for my particular setup, and I hope to buy a couple more for my dual sport and my wife’s motorcycle.
Initially bought a top kit but when it didn't fit I was able to exchange it for a bottom kit with no issues. Installed this summer and used it on my first Lake Superior Circle Tour, along with a lot of local rides in Michigan. Great product, easy to install and use, low profile. Especially on flat roads or long stretches of superslab its a wonder to have. Very satisfied and would recommend.
I found the item so easy to use and was good when on the item road for longer distance riding
love the atlas, easy to use, works great, worth the money i paid !!! highly satisfied
A superb item made a recent trip to Europe a real joy. Thanks
I commute an hour to work and an hour home every day and the Atlas Throttle Lock has changed that forever. I have tried the plastic clips and wedges for throttle locks and they are no comparison to the Atlas. It is truly like having cruise control on a bike. Say goodbye to tired and cramped right forearms. The feel of the engage/ disengage buttons is crisp and you know what is happening without looking. The install is also easy. There is no downside. Just get one.
I am absolutely enthusiastic about this shop. Rarely experienced such a great service. Great people, keep it up
Installed on wife’s 2017 Victory Octane. Works great. Easy to use. This is the third different throttle lock we’ve tried and this one is the best.
Throttle lock works well but it is rubber against plastic so in the wet it slides easily. Still takes the pressure off your arm as you apply the lock and then use your fingers to keep the throttle steady but it is much more effective in the dry.
i always rode a bike with a dead throttle and atlas has made it continue..im so grateful for this...thank you....
Purchased the Atlas Throttle Lock shortly before taking a trip from Atlanta, GA to Lake of the Ozarks, MO. The Throttle Lock allowed me to relax my grip during the long stretches between tank fillups. The lock was simple to install and easy to use. While locked I could easily adjust the throttle position for smoother cruising.
I would recommend this to many fellow riders wishing for a cruise control alternative.
It's a scooter, but I love long ride. Throttle Lock is really help on highways.
If you do any Highway or longer bike trips do yourself a favor and get one. Worth the money!
I’m mostly a long distance rider and need to be able to take my hands off the bars on occasion to adjust something or give my hand a break. Cruse control was not available on my newest bike, a Triumph 850 Tiger so I hade to the aftermarket for a “cruse control device “ and the Atlas Throttle Lock was my choice. So far, I have got an about a few thousand miles on the bike and it’s worked great.
I would recommend it.
